Orders/ Payment

Whilst it is our intention to keep our website up to date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occur. If we discover such an error after you have submitted an order to us, we will contact you prior to accepting your order with the correct details. You may then either cancel your order or re-confirm it based on the correct information. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your order as cancelled.

All prices shown on our website are explicitly clear as to whether they include or exclude VAT and depending on which country you are ordering in VAT may not apply. Delivery charges are clearly highlighted prior to final payment and will depend on the speed of service you choose and delivery destination point.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from outside the U.K. your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency and it is your responsibility to check this rate with your bank. Any rates provided by Personal Projector are indicative only and meant as a guide.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro cards.

Security

We use 128-bit SSL encryption technology to ensure that any information you transmit during the ordering process is secure. Our servers are secured to protect all personal information including credit card numbers, your address and any products you may order.

We will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but, unless we are negligent, we cannot be held liable for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to information provided by you.

Orders and Cancellations

When you submit an order to us on our website, you will receive an email to confirm that we are processing your order. You will then receive a second email from us acknowledging your order has been shipped for delivery. You should check both emails for accuracy and let us know immediately if there are any errors. Neither of these emails constitute acceptance of the order by us. Your order will be accepted by us (and a contract will then be formed between us) when we dispatch the goods to you. Title to the goods will pass to you on delivery.

Where you have redeemed a promotional code or any other offer ("a Code") against your order, acceptance of this order is subject to our verifying that the Code has been issued to you personally, that you comply with all the terms of the offer and qualify for the Code. In the event that the Code has not been issued to you for your personal use or you do not qualify for the offer, the price of the order will be adjusted notwithstanding any email or other confirmation that you receive.

All orders placed through our website will be subject to our acceptance of the order. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason.

Orders placed before 2.30 are guaranteed to be delivered within the above delivery times. If after 2.30 please call us on 0845 121 8800 or email enquiries@personalprojector.co.uk as it may be possible to still deliver even up to 5pm. All UK and EU shipping costs exclude vat. Rest of world and non EU countries do not pay any UK vat (15% rising to 17.5% from Jan 1st 2010).

Returns

We offer a simple and easy returns service providing you with complete piece of mind and all our products come with a 12 month warranty. In the event of any returns simply contact us on 0845 121 8800 to arrange the return and obtain the correct return address for your product (please do not return packages without phoning or emailing first).

To avoid buying a projector that does not suit your needs we strongly advise you to call us before purchase so we can advise you on the best pico projector for your needs and environment. There are many instances where pico projectors are not suitable applications such as in bright light conditions, outdoors or in direct sunlight.

Its worth noting that pico projectors are not as bright as traditional projectors and should always be purchased with this in mind – they are designed to be portable, easy to use and flexible enough so the user can move to a room where the lighting conditions can easily be changed to either a dark or medium light environment.
In general the more expensive the pico projector the brighter the projector will be and due to their miniscule size, pico/micro or pocket projectors are NOT a replacement for traditional projectors and must be purchased for use in the right conditions.

When returning any package you must ensure all goods are properly packaged and boxed prior to return as any damaged goods cannot be accepted. You must pay for any return postage costs. Only packages returned in pristine condition with all packaging can be exchanged or refunded.

VAT, Import Duty and Other Sales Taxes

All prices listed on the site exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.

VAT is charged on all shipping costs including postage and packaging.

For all countries outside of the EU, for example USA, Switzerland or Taiwan - no VAT is charged.

Our VAT registration number is GB 939 712589.

Many countries charge duty on goods at the point of import. You should always confirm what the import tax and duties will be before placing your order, these charges will normally be accepted by the courier used to deliver your goods and passed on to you at the point of delivery. It is your responsibility to pay these charges. Please note this charge is levied by your government not by Personal Projector and we have no control over it. If you or someone acting on your behalf rejects the goods at the point of delivery then Personal Projector Limited will charge you for all the associated delivery and administration charges.

Delivery

Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods on the day we specify, we cannot guarantee delivery on that day or accept liability for deliveries made outside this timescale. We cannot accept liability for out of pocket expenses or other costs incurred due to failed or delayed deliveries.

We use a range of courier services but mainly Parcelforce and Royal Mail for next day UK and international services. For standard delivery we also use HDN. We reserve the right to change these services at any time. Both Parcelforce and Royal Mail in the UK provide excellent services which allow you to select re-deliveries and even collect from a local post office.

All items are subject to stock availability and we reserve the right to cancel any item ordered at any time and provide you with a full refund.

When we deliver your items to you will be asked to sign for the goods to acknowledge that you have received them.
If your goods fail to arrive within 28 days of dispatch, you will have the option of either a full refund or a replacement shipment as soon as we have investigated with the courier.

Where an incorrect address has been given to Personal Projector Limited with the order we reserve the right to charge for any extra carriage costs incurred.

Claims for damage, delivery discrepancy etc. should be made within 48 hours of delivery - claims will not be accepted after this time. Please sign the consignment document 'UNCHECKED', as we cannot otherwise accept any claims for damage in transit.
All deliveries are made from the Personal Projector offices in the United Kingdom.

Deliveries are made by courier and require a signature on delivery, for this reason, it is not possible to deliver to a PO Box address. If a PO address is used in the address and it is returned to us you must pay for the redelivery costs to another address as its not possibleto manually check all addresses for PO addresses. This applies particularly to Cyprus or countries where PO box is used as standard term on the address.

Pricing

Whilst we endeavor to ensure the prices on our website are as accurate as possible, we reserve the right to change a price in exceptional circumstances. If a price is corrected due to exceptional circumstances, customers will be informed of the change before payment is processed and offered the opportunity to cancel the order.

Business Customers

If you are a business, you will not export any goods purchased from us in contravention of United States of America export controls.

If you have a trade or credit account with us payment is due 7 days after the date of our invoice and we may charge interest for late payment calculated daily at 4%.

General

The use of our site and any contracts formed are governed by English law.

We shall not be responsible to you whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for incidental, special, indirect or consequential loss or damage, any loss of profit (direct or indirect), loss of sales, loss of goodwill or reputation, loss of business, third party claims, pure economic loss arising out of or in connection of the performance or non performance of our obligations under these terms and conditions including such damage as may be reasonably foreseeable at the date you order the goods.

Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or restrict our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Our liability for any claim for loss or damage shall be limited to the sum paid by you for the goods.

A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have no right to enforce any term under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court the invalidity or unenforceability of such provision shall not affect the other provisions of these terms and conditions.

We may assign or transfer any of our rights or sub contract any of our obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party.

You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or sub contract any of your obligations under these terms and conditions except with our specific permission in writing.

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and any such changes will be communicated on our website.

There are from time to time links on our website to third party websites which we believe may be of interest to you. We do not have any control over the content of these websites nor can we be liable in respect of anything contained on these websites.

These terms and conditions govern the entire trading relationship between you and ourselves and will remain in force for the duration of our trading relationship.

All intellectual property rights (including use of trade marks) shall be solely owned by us. You are permitted only to use material on this website as expressly authorized by us or our licensors.

Any unauthorized use of material on this site is strictly prohibited.

These Terms and Conditions supersede all previous Terms and Conditions, representations, undertakings and agreements (updated Oct 2008).

The forums are available for everyone - you do not have to be an Personal Projector customer to use the forums. The content of the forums represents the forum users, it expressly does not represent the views of Personal Projector Limited or its staff and Personal Projector Limited cannot be held responsible for the views and the comments expressed in the forums.
